Creating Ticket Types

Overview Ticket types define what buyers can purchase โ€” for example General Admission, VIP, or Student. You can create as many types as your event needs. Steps 1. Open your event and go to Tickets. 2. Click Create ticket. 3. Enter the ticket name (in Arabic and English). 4. Choose the ticket type: Paid, Free, Donation, or Tiered. 5. Set the price (in ๏ทผ) and the quantity available. 6. Optionally add a description of what the ticket includes. 7. Save. Ticket types explained - Paid โ€” a fixed price you set - Free โ€” no charge; still requires registration so you can track and check in attendees - Donation โ€” the buyer chooses how much to pay (with an optional minimum) - Tiered โ€” one ticket with multiple price levels, such as Early Bird and Regular Tips - Give tickets clear names buyers will recognize. - Add a short description to justify higher-priced tiers like VIP. - Provide both Arabic and English names so every buyer sees the right language. Setting Prices and Quantities

Overview Prices and quantities control how much you sell and how much stock is available. Both can be adjusted while your event is live. Setting the price - All prices are in Saudi Riyals (๏ทผ). - Enter the price buyers pay before any taxes or fees you add. - For free tickets, set the price to zero. Setting the quantity - The quantity is how many of that ticket type can be sold. - When a ticket type sells out, it is automatically shown as unavailable. - You can increase or decrease the quantity at any time. Per-order limits You can set a minimum and maximum number of tickets a single buyer can purchase in one order โ€” useful for preventing bulk buying or encouraging group sales. Adjusting while live You can change prices and quantities after publishing. Existing orders keep the price they were bought at; changes apply only to new orders. Using Tiered, Free, and Donation Tickets

Overview Beyond a simple fixed price, Ticket Hero supports flexible pricing so you can match how you actually want to sell. Tiered tickets A tiered ticket has several price levels under one ticket, for example: - Early Bird โ€” a lower price available first - Regular โ€” the standard price - Last Chance โ€” a higher price near the event Tiers can switch automatically by date or by quantity sold, so pricing moves up as demand grows without any manual work. Free tickets Set the price to zero to offer free registration. Attendees still complete an order and receive a ticket with a QR code, so you can manage capacity and check them in just like paid attendees. Donation tickets Let buyers choose their own amount โ€” ideal for fundraisers and community events. You can set a suggested or minimum amount. Adding Taxes and Fees

Overview As the seller of your tickets, you are responsible for charging the correct tax. Ticket Hero lets you apply a tax โ€” such as 15% VAT โ€” to your tickets so it is calculated automatically at checkout. How tax works on Ticket Hero - You define your tax rate once and apply it to your tickets. - The tax is calculated on the ticket price and shown to the buyer at checkout. - Tax you collect is money you hold on behalf of ZATCA โ€” it is not part of your revenue. Applying a tax 1. Set up your tax (for example, VAT 15%) in your tax settings. 2. Open a ticket type under Tickets. 3. Apply the tax to that ticket. 4. Save. The tax now appears on checkout and in your reports. Booking fees You can also add a service fee to tickets if you choose to pass a booking fee on to buyers. This is separate from tax and separate from the Ticket Hero commission. Important Ticket Hero calculates and records tax for your reporting, but you remain the seller of record and are responsible for issuing tax invoices to your buyers and filing your VAT return. Scheduling Ticket Sales

Overview You can control exactly when each ticket type goes on sale and when it stops โ€” perfect for early-bird windows, phased releases, and closing sales before the doors open. Setting a sales window 1. Open a ticket type under Tickets. 2. Set a sale start date and time to delay when it becomes available. 3. Set a sale end date and time to stop selling it automatically. 4. Save. Before the start time, the ticket shows as not yet available. After the end time, it shows as sales ended. Common patterns - Early Bird then Regular โ€” end the Early Bird ticket when Regular begins (or use a tiered ticket). - Close online sales early โ€” stop selling a few hours before the event to prepare check-in. - Timed release โ€” open a new ticket type on a specific date to create urgency.
