## Overview

You can control exactly when each ticket type goes on sale and when it stops — perfect for early-bird windows, phased releases, and closing sales before the doors open.

## Setting a sales window

1. Open a ticket type under **Tickets**.

2. Set a **sale start** date and time to delay when it becomes available.

3. Set a **sale end** date and time to stop selling it automatically.

4. Save.

Before the start time, the ticket shows as *not yet available*. After the end time, it shows as *sales ended*.

## Common patterns

* **Early Bird then Regular** — end the Early Bird ticket when Regular begins (or use a tiered ticket).

* **Close online sales early** — stop selling a few hours before the event to prepare check-in.

* **Timed release** — open a new ticket type on a specific date to create urgency.
