## Overview

As the seller of your tickets, you are responsible for charging the correct tax. Ticket Hero lets you apply a tax — such as **15% VAT** — to your tickets so it is calculated automatically at checkout.

## How tax works on Ticket Hero

* You define your tax rate once and apply it to your tickets.

* The tax is calculated on the ticket price and shown to the buyer at checkout.

* Tax you collect is money you hold on behalf of ZATCA — it is not part of your revenue.

## Applying a tax

1. Set up your tax (for example, *VAT 15%*) in your tax settings.

2. Open a ticket type under **Tickets**.

3. Apply the tax to that ticket.

4. Save. The tax now appears on checkout and in your reports.

## Booking fees

You can also add a **service fee** to tickets if you choose to pass a booking fee on to buyers. This is separate from tax and separate from the Ticket Hero commission.

## Important

Ticket Hero calculates and records tax for your reporting, but **you remain the seller of record** and are responsible for issuing tax invoices to your buyers and filing your VAT return.
